HAVA

Heather Thompson, creator of Hava, began making jewellery during her travels through South Africa. Surrounded by a sea of beautiful beads she began to see earrings in everything; long grasses, exotic bird feathers quills and even hut thatching. Upon her return to Canada she worked steadily refining her skills to bridge the inspiration of natural splendour with the fantasy of gloss and polish. This working process has come to climax in a line of ear and neck pieces as diverse as the resources tapped to make them; resin, leather, wire, glass, feather, flower and paper. Her work is elegant yet earthy. There is a piece in her collection for women from all walks of life.
